Course Overview of the Online WCPOL Training

The Course Overview of the Online Women and Children Protection Online (WCPOL) Training presents the rationale, blueprint, and structures of the three courses administered by the Child Protection Network Foundation, Inc (CPN). These include training programs in  (1) recognizing, recording, reporting, and referring (4Rs), (2) the Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) Approach, and (3) the Certificate in Women and Children Protection Specialty (CWCPS).

Online Training on the 4Rs

The 4Rs refer to recognizing, reporting, recording, and referring of women and children abuse. The Online 4Rs training is open to any person, parent, member representing any agency or institution interested in or involved in dealing with children and women who are suspected victims of abuse or any form of domestic violence or gender-based violence.

Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Online Training - Batch 6 (May 7 – June 27, 2024)

The MDT Training is especially designed for medical practitioners, social workers, and PNP officers whose career paths focus on women and children protection work. This is composed of four online modules for women and children protection unit (WCPU) practitioners and program managers. The modules are also ladder type such that the first serves as prerequisite to the next until the completion of all the four.

Trauma Informed care refers to how organizations and service providers think about and respond to survivors of trauma.  Such an approach includes having an understanding of the impact of trauma on the lives of survivors and the complexity involved in recovery.  THe purpose of this Guide is to provide information and practical tools to service providers enabling them to engage with survivors of trauma in a way that is sensitive to their part experiences and their current functioning while also supporting their recovery.

Child Protection Training for LGU/Barangay Staff

Sa proyektong “TELEW/CPU Center” ng Child Protection Network Foundation Inc. kasama ang UNICEF, ang mga barangay ay naging lokasyon ng TeleCPU Centers kung saan patuloy na naibibigay ang serbisyo ng iba’t ibang Women and Child Protection Units sa kanilang mga pasyente sa pamamagitan ng teknolohiya. Ang mga Barangay Staff tulad ng VAWC at BCPC Officers ay ang mga nakatalagang taong tumutulong sa pagpapatupad ng adhikain ng proyektong ito. Sa ilang mga probinsya, ang TeleW/CPU Centers ay makikita sa City or Municipal Social Welfare Development Offices at ang mga social workers ng opisinang ito ang nakatalagang tagapagpatupad ng proyekto. Dahil dito, ang kursong ito ay ibibigay sa lahat ng TeleW/CPU Center staff – mga barangay staff (VAWC, BCPC officers atbp.) at C/MSWDO social workers. Ang lahat ng WCPU staff at mga social workers sa C/MSWDO ay kinakailangan din na tapusin ang 4Rs Training na inihahandog ng Child Protection Network.

The highest rung in the online ladderized training of the Child Protection Network Foundation, Inc. (CPN) refers to the Women and Children Protection Specialty Training (WCPST). Finishers of this online training are expected to manage not only the victims of abuse but also the Women and Children Protection Unit (WCPU) in their respective geographic locations. Participants who satisfactorily complete the 4Rs and MDT, who are directly managing women and children as victims of abuse, and are either working with an existing WCPU or part of the team that plans to establish a new WCPU, and are recommended by their supervisors qualify to take the WCPST program.
